Girls Rugby Kicks Off At Newport RFC
9th November 2015 By Munster Rugby
Girls Rugby has recently got underway at Newport RFC in County Tipperary.
Over the last four weeks the girls section has continually grown with approximately 30 players ranging between the Under 15 and Under 17 age grade training every Sunday morning.
The girls are all new to the sport, however with many of them coming from camogie, football and basketball backgrounds their skill levels are adapting to rugby very quickly.
Head Coach Michael Coughlan has been very impressed with the talent shown by the players at training and is confident girls’ rugby has an exciting future at Newport RFC.
Girls training at Newport rugby club is every Sunday from 10am to 11am. For more information please contact Michael Coughlan on 086-8233360.
