Girls Skills Day At Tralee RFC
15th October 2010 By Munster Rugby
An open skills day was recently held at Tralee RFC to introduce "girls rugby" and encourage players to take up the game at their local club.
Over 30 girls arrived at the session including many that had never played the game previously.
Tralee RFC club members and coaches Marie Townsend, Ed Barnes, Sean Hurley and Jonnie Morath were on hand to assist with the coordination of the day and to ensure that the girls had fun as they were taken through varying skills.
All the girls present brought with them a great attitude and positivity, so much so that many of them had progressed to tackling before the end of the session which was a great result for beginners.
