Give It A Try

The IRFU have recently launched #GiveItATry campaign for girls and women who are interested in taking up the game of rugby.

Last season, Women's rugby saw an additional 1,200 adult players try the sport in Ireland, while there was a 40% increase in girls playing mini rugby. In addition, girls youth rugby has increased in both clubs and schools.

The IRFU will provide a series of #GiveItATry videos, which will be released over the coming weeks, showcasing the different levels of the game that girls and women participate at.

Videos in the series will also showcase players at minis and youth level, players on the player pathway and those that have represented Ireland at international level.

Information that is available as part of the 'Give It A Try' area on www.IrishRugby.ie includes an interactive map that offers players information on their club that is closest to them, as well as useful documents for players and parents alike. View the page here – Give It A Try.

A number of clubs are hosting open days over the coming weeks, so if you are interested in getting involved in rugby, find your local club here and Give It a Try!
