‘Give It A Try’ At Tralee RFC
2nd February 2016 By Munster Rugby
Tralee RFC recently hosted a ‘Give Rugby A Try Day’ for primary schools girls within the Kerry area.
The event was in association with the Kerry Sports Partnership Programme, Tralee Town Council, the Mitchells Regen Project, the Department of Environment and the IRFU National Schools Play Rugby programme.
Nine national schools within the local area took part which saw over 200 girls experiencing rugby within a controlled and fun environment.
The day was set out to promote girls rugby within the Tralee area, and start a campaign with the goal of helping Tralee RFC achieve its own sustainable girls section at all age grade levels from U8's to adult players.
This event was the start of an ongoing recruitment campaign for girls rugby with a further ‘Give it a Try Day’ set for Saturday, 6th of February at Tralee RFC from 10.30am to 12:00pm.
