Give It A Try Night Proves Big Success

Girls of all ages descended on Annacotty last week for UL Bohs’ ‘Give it a Try’ night.

This is an IRFU initiative to encourage girls and ladies to give rugby a try in their local club.

Everyone enjoyed the fun and games on the pitch and also had a chance to make friends with their future teammates afterwards with some refreshments!

UL Bohs have several girls playing mixed minis every week, a girls U12 team and, hopefully, a girls U15 side for this season.

The ladies team, which has competed at AIL level since the team's inception, has enjoyed great success over the years winning 11 League titles in 15 years along with Munster and Ireland Cups and Plates.

The club has proudly seen 28 of its ladies wear the green of Ireland over the years and hopes to add to this number soon.

This season for the first time, the Bohs ladies are fielding a junior team in the Munster League along with the AIL senior team.
