Give It A Try Set To Kick Off Across Munster Next Week

The IRFU’s Give It A Try Programme is set to kick off across numerous clubs in Munster from next week.
The Give It A Try camps are an eight-week programme (end of July, Aug and Sept) run in selected clubs where girls aged 8-14 years can attend in order to learn how to play rugby in a fun environment.
The programme consists of a coach education element, fun rugby sessions and teaching the girls the basics of rugby. The clubs are responsible for the running of the programme in their area but with Provincial Branch and IRFU assistance.
The Give It A Try programme is a great way for young girls to have fun, make friends and learn rugby for the first time.
27 clubs across Munster will be hosting Give It A Try programmes this summer and 11 of those will be doing so for the first time; Ballina-Killaloe, Cobh Pirates, Dolphin RFC, Dungarvan, Dunmanway, Fermoy, Garryowen, Lisdoonvarna, Scarriff, Thurles and Waterpark.
