Glenstal And Rockwell Clash For Final Place
4th March 2015 By Munster Rugby
Thomond Park hosts the second SEAT Schools Senior Cup semi-final today at 3pm as Glenstal Abbey and Rockwell College clash in a bid to join Ardscoil Rãs in the final on March 17.
A last-minute penalty saw Ardscoil overcome PBC at Irish Independent Park yesterday as they secured their place in the final.
Glenstal captured the Limerick City Cup before Christmas and beat St.Clement's in the final qualifying round. They were beaten by Castletroy in the first round but knocked out holders Crescent at Thomond Park in a low-scoring quarter-final that ended 6-3 to Glenstal.
Rockwell are in fine form having accounted for PBC in Cork in the first round and then St. Munchin's in the last eight. Head coach Mark Butler led the Munster U-18 Schools side to the Interpro title earlier this season and former Munster man and Irish international Denis Leamy is also part of the coaching team.
