Pupils of Quin National School in Co. Clare recently took part in a special training session in Thomond Park

Following successful Dinners held in New York and London, clubs and schools throughout the province are seeing the benefits from the fundraising which took place at these events.

Last week, over 20 children from Quin National School in Co. Clare had a very memorable day as they took part in a training session in Thomond Park with Munster Rugby players Malakai Fekitoa, Craig Casey and Tony Butler.

The hour-long session was run by Rugby Participation Coordinator Ray Gadsden and Club Community Rugby Officer Evan Cusack in conjunction with the Munster Rugby players.

Fundraising which took place at previous events in New York, as part of the NYC Friends of Munster initiative, helped provide resources to one of Munster Rugby’s newest clubs, Lisdoonvarna RFC, as they received sets of training equipment including balls and tackling pads.
