Goggin Starts For Ireland Under-20s

Young Munster’s Dan Goggin will make his first start for the Ireland Under-20 side in the Six Nations clash against England at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday evening (ko 6:15pm).

The centre joins Cork Con front-row duo Max Abbott and Rory Burke in the starting XV with UCD's Sean McNulty and Bruff's Jack Cullen among the replacements.

Ireland U20 coach Mike Ruddock has made three changes to the side that were overcome by a powerful Welsh side last time out with injury forcing the withdrawal of UL Bohemians' No.8 Jack O'Donoghue.

Ireland Under-20s face an England outfit that have also recorded a win and a loss in the opening two rounds of the Championship.

Head Coach, Ruddock, commented: "There were some harsh lessons learned last time out against the Welsh and the team will have to dig deep and find a quality performance this weekend to get a result against a strong English team. There is plenty of character and experience within this squad and that should stand to them come Saturday.”

The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 2.
