Good Day Out For Munster U18 Schools

The Munster U18 Schools travelled to the Sportsground yesterday to take on their Connacht counterparts in a pre Interprovincial warm up match.

In their first day out following the summer Talent Camp programme the squad put on an impressive performance as they look forward to their first competitive fixture next Wednesday, 23rd August away to Leinster.

A penalty from Rockwell College’s out-half Ryan O’Sullivan put the visitors on the scoresheet in the opening half, going into the break with a 3-0 advantage.

Connacht kicked off the second half with a try but it wasn’t long before Munster replied with hooker Kieran O’Shea from Castleroy College crossing the whitewash.

Crescent College out-half Jack Delaney converted which saw Munster regain the lead 10-5.

With the wind on their side CBC prop Mark Donnelly impressed with a second try from the Munster pack, with Delaney once again adding the extras.
