Good Start For C.I.T.
26th October 2011 By Munster Rugby
The Cork Institute of Technology (C.I.T.) senior men’s squad recently had their first league game of the season where they took on the current Division 1 All-Ireland Champions Carlow I.T.
Carlow have won this division for the past two years and are highly tipped for the title again this season.
This thrilling encounter from start to finish did not disappoint, ending in a score line of 32-31 in favour of C.I.T.
C.I.T. got off to a great start going 10-0 up inside the first 15 mins. Carlow slowly got back into the game and lead at half–time by 13-19. C.I.T. lead the charge in the second half through Miah Cronin and Dan O’Connor taking control up front with Daragh O’ Keeffe and Jack Ryan making good progress in the backs.
The Cork side were deserved winners in the end and were delighted with the superb start to this league campaign.
