Great Day At Thomond For Colaiste Ide Girls

The girls’ team from Colaiste Ide agus Iosef, Abbeyfeale had a fantastic day out at Thomond Park for last weekend’s PRO12 semi-final between Munster and Ospreys.

The team won their section of the Munster Schools 10s laya healthcare blitz last month and wore their Munster laya healthcare t-shirts that they won on the day with pride.

After supporting Munster throughout a dramatic 80 minutes, the girls got an extra treat when they got the chance to meet and take photos with some of the players. Everyone involved wish to thank the Munster branch for supplying the great package which gave us a fantastic opportunity to take the girls on what turned out to be a brilliant trip.

This school team also consists of players who were part of the national and Munster U-15s teams. The success of the girls this season shows why it is so important for a club/school link and may it continue to grow into the 2015/2016 season.

The team would like to thank principal Jim Tierney of the school for organising the bus for the day and John Moloney plus the teachers who also travelled with the girls making it a nice way to finish the school rugby season.
