Munster claimed the 2021 Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship on Saturday night thanks to a gutsy and determined 19-7 win over Leinster at Energia Park.
Matt Brown’s side went into that fixture knowing that a win or a draw would be enough to see them crowned champions after their back-to-back bonus-point victories over Ulster and Connacht gave them a one-point cushion over Leinster going into the final round.
A brace of tries from Chloe Pearse and one from Deirbhile Nic a Bhaird saw Munster home on Saturday night after the squad dug deep to overturn a 7-0 deficit.
