Christian Brothers College secured their 18th Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup title, making it two wins from three against Crescent College Comprehensive at the last stage in the last three years.
These two teams have dominated this competition for the past three seasons, and having been edged out by the Limerick side in a replay last year, the Sidney Hill outfit had another battle on their hands.
With the scores in favour of Crescent 19-14 heading down the stretch, the Cork outfit won consecutive penalties, and opting to scrum twice they eventually crossed the line through Ronan O’Sullivan in the last minute, with George Coomber holding his nerve to slot the winning conversion.
