Holders Advance In Limerick Charity Cup

Defending champions U.L. Bohemian booked their place in the quarter finals of the Limerick Charity Cup with a deserving win over Clare Counties at Jim Slattery Park.

Clare Counties making their debut in this competition put up a brave performance against their more illustrious opponents and while Bohes always looked like advancing, they were given a stiff test by the Clare side who were hit by some late defections.
Tries by Ian Condell, Keith McManus and two conversions and a penalty by Darragh Frawley gave the visitors a 17-0 interval lead.
Rory Whyte and Mark Egan scored further tries and Derek Farrell converted these with Frawley also adding a penalty.
Robbie Madden scored the home side’s only try, who had good performances from Patrick Harding, Jeff Ruttle and Fergal Lawlor.

Young Munster v Richmond.
