In Pics: Ryan & Hurley Attend laya 10s

Munster Rugby in conjunction with laya healthcare recently ran a 10 aside schools rugby blitz at Irish Independent Park.

A total of 24 schools from around the province took part in the once day event coordinated by the Munster Rugby Coach Development Department.

Munster players John Ryan and Denis Hurley were present at the event and joined Munster President Bertie Smith and laya healthcare Managing Director D.O. O’Connor in presenting the awards to the winners on the day.

Winners were as follows:-

• Coláiste Íde agus Iosef, Abbeyfeale – Girls Cup winners
• Presentation Brothers College, Cork – A Final winners
• SMI, Newcastle West – B Final winners
• St Munchin's College, Limerick – Plate winners

Following a great one day event Coach Development Manager Keith Murphy commented “It was a hugely successful tournament, the weather was extremely kind to us and the quality of rugby on show was exemplary.
