Interprovincial Campaigns Start This Weekend

The highly-anticipated Interprovincial campaigns kick-off this weekend with the Munster Under-20s, Women’s team and Under-19s all in action away from home.

The Munster Under-20s, sponsored by GxP Systems, kick-off the Interprovincial programme away to Leinster at Ashbourne RFC on Friday at 7pm.

The game is the first of three this weekend as the Keanes Jewellers-sponsored Munster Women’s side travel to face Ulster at the Kingspan Stadium on Saturday afternoon at 3pm.

The Star Elm Frames-sponsored Munster Under-19s side are also on the road on Saturday as they make the trip to Templeville Road, the home of St. Mary’s RFC, to take on Leinster at 2:30pm.

The Munster Under-18 Schools and Clubs sides, both sponsored by Trend Micro, begin their campaigns away to their Connacht counterparts next week.

The squads have travelled far and wide as part of their preparations for their Interprovincial campaigns.

The Munster Under-20s competed in the Clermont International tournament and were narrowly defeated by the hosts before claiming the scalp of English side Leicester Tigers last Friday.

The Under-19s travelled to Wales where they beat Cardiff at the Arms Park while French side Aquitane narrowly defeated the Munster Under-18s schools side last weekend.

The Munster 18s Clubs team played Welsh sides Cymoedd and Cowbridge and complete their warm-up fixtures against the Munster U-17 Development side tonight.
