Ireland Men’s Sevens Squads Named

As the Ireland Men’s Sevens squad gear up for the European Championships in Malmoe, Sweden and the Olympic Repechage in Monaco in June, the Ireland Sevens management team have confirmed two squads to take part in the Amsterdam 7s Invitational and the Newcastle 7s Festival this weekend.

The team that will travel to Amsterdam, which will also have an Ireland Women's 7s Development squad competing, draws on players from a number of different rugby backgrounds including two Munster players.

Munster Academy players Dan Goggin and Alex Wootton, who has recently graduated to the Munster senior squad have been included.

The Ireland Men's Sevens Development Squad for the Newcastle 7s Festival includes Munster Academy's Ollie Lyons and Alan Bennie, who has previously represented Munster in 7s rugby.
