Ireland U20s Team Named

The Ireland U20 side has been named for their fifth place play off against Wales tomorrow evening in the IRB Junior World Championships.

The Irish U20s will be once again led by Munster academy player and no.8 Peter O’Mahony and he is joined in the backrow by UL Boh’s Brian O’Hara who kept a firm hold on the number 7 spot throughout the tournament.

Garryowen scumhalf Conor Murray and UCC centre Danny Barnes keep their starting places after breaking into the first XV last Saturday, while respective club team-mates Andrew Burke and David O’Callaghan are named in the replacements.

Ireland will take on Wales tomorrow in the Level 5 Stadium, Fukuoka at 5pm local time (9am Irish time). Both sides last met in the U20s Six Nations in a tense affair in Llanelli where Ireland ground out a victory, winning 9-6 to secure a second place finish in the U20s ix Nations.
