Ireland U18 Squads Named For Mid-Term Training Camps

The Ireland U18 Clubs and the Ireland U18 Schools squads have both been named for their respective training camps over the mid-term break.

A total of 10 Munster players have been selected for the Ireland U18 Schools squad with CBC’s Mark Donnelly, Aaron Leahy, Harry O’Riordan and Cian Whooley joining PBC’s John Forde, Alex Kendellen and Daniel Hurley, St Munchin’s Craig Finn, Ard Scoil Ris’ Daniel Okeke and Crescent College’s Jack Delaney.

In the Ireland U18 Clubs squad, Cobh Pirates’ Darragh McCarthy, Nenagh’s Dylan Murphy, Waterpark’s Jay Traynor and Ennis’ Ethan Coughlan have all been selected.

The schools side will be coached by Leinster Academy Manager Peter Smyth while Fiach O’Loughlin will coach the club side, who will play a challenge match against the Italian U18 Academy.

A number of the players named in both squads featured in the recent IRFU U18 Interprovincial Festival held over a ten day period in UL in August. The festival brought together over 200 young players for a ten day campus style festival that focused on player and coach development both on and off the pitch.
