IRFU Concussion Workshops
25th February 2016 By Munster Rugby
Munster Rugby recently coordinated four IRFU Concussion workshops in Cork and Limerick.
The workshops were held in Bandon Grammar and St Clements secondary schools as well as Highfield RFC and Garryowen FC.
Over 170 people including parents, coaches, players and referees attended the workshops presented by Shane Mooney, IRFU.
Mooney focused on modules that relate to Concussion Recognition Management and Return to Play protocols post concussion.
The IRFU Concussion Workshops are designed to educate coaches, parents, players and referees on the dangers of concussion and how to recognise it.
All club and school coaches were encouraged to attend the workshops and the feedback received was very positive.
