Ever struggled for a session? Wondering what game to play next? Irish Rugby has the resource for you.

As part of Aldi’s sponsorship of the Play Rugby Programme, which was participated in by 80,000 children last year, a number of video’s containing fun games and reduced exercises for young players has been developed to allow them to develop their skills in a fun and safe environment.

Housed on Hive Learning, which is also the platform upon which the Scottish Rugby Union and the English FA build their coaching communities, the videos showcase a game centred approach to coaching along with some possible reduced activities to upskill your players.

There are two sets of eight weekly sessions already on line, which although focusing on tag and touch, can easily be adapted to suit the needs of your players.

In the coming months there will be further videos added and there are monthly competitions for interaction on the site, in which, both staff and coaches have been adding their own exercises and sessions.

Over 600 coaches have already signed up to be part of the community and there has been nearly 8,000 interactions on the site to date.

Another benefit of having the online resource is an ease of contacting local Club Community Rugby Officers, all of whom are part of the community and would be only too happy to help with any queries that may arise in the course of your coaching.

To become part of the community just click on the link below, fill in your details, including the passkey supplied, and you will immediately be added. Signing up takes no more than one minute and will provide you with hours of coaching materials.

The link is www.hivelearning.com/aldiplayrugby and the pass key is !R1SHRUG8Y1874
