IRFU Stage II Coaching Course At IIP

The Munster Rugby Development Department hosted its first Stage II coaching course last weekend at Irish Independent Park, Cork.

This newly revamped course was held in the hospitality suite with 30 coaches in attendance.

This course has been designed to develop a more practical emphasis surrounding the key philosophy of general movement to accommodate youth rugby coaches, coaching from Under 13 to Under 16 level, and also coaches at higher levels beginning their coaching pathway.

The new curriculum also focuses on enhancing coaches’ knowledge of general movement with the core content practically delivered on pitch, enhancing their knowledge on technical, tactical as well as mental and lifestyle capacities of player development.
