Irish Presidents XV v England Named

18th December 2008 By Munster Rugby

Munster’s Joy Neville will captain An Irish President’s XV this coming Saturday when they take on England in a challenge game.

Munster’s Lynne Cantwell has been as vice captain for the game. The game which is an uncapped friendly will be paramount to both team’s preparations ahead of the Women’s 2009 RBS 6 Nations commencing in February. The Women’s 6 Nations are run in tandem with the Men’s 6 Nations tournament so be sure to keep an eye of for the progress of the Irish Women.

Coach Steven Hennessy has named a 28 player panel for the game with 14 of the players playing their club rugby in Munster. The squad includes a number of new players being called up to the squad, all of whom will no doubt be pushing to be included in Hennessy’s panel for the 6 Nations Series.

The game which has a 2.30pm kick off will be played in St. Marys RFC.
