Cork Constitution booked their place in the final of the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup next week against Young Munster after a dramatic extra time victory over Richmond at Temple Hill.
Just like their last game in the Cup away to Galbally, Cork Constitution snatched a last minute try from Jason Higgins which John Poland converted to level 24-24 and send the game into extra time.
Richmond enjoyed the better of the exchanges in extra time but a penalty in each period by Poland decided the outcome.
Richmond opened the scoring with a penalty from Brián Bennett after sixteen minutes.
Indiscipline was too cost the Limerick side dearly as two of their players were yellow carded and while down to 13 players Constitution scored tries from Evan Mintern and Higgins and Poland converted both for a 14-3 lead.
Two penalties from Bennett left the half time score 14-9 in Con’s favour.
A fourth Bennett penalty and a try by Dean O’Halloran put Richmond ahead 17-14, but Poland levelled with a penalty.
A penalty try converted by Bennett looked like sending Richmond through to the decider until Con’s late rally saw them come out on top.
Clonmel’s hopes of Senior rugby next year disappeared with a 29-12 home defeat by Ulster champions Bangor in their final All Ireland Provincial League game.
Bangor raced into a 26-0 lead before Tony Cantwell scored a try for Clonmel on the stroke of half time. Clonmel had more possession in the second half, but their only reward was a try and conversion by Conor Cooney.
Bangor will now be playing in Division 2C of the Ulster Bank League next season and Enniscorthy who defeated Westport 45-5 will play Sligo in a game to decide the final place in this league next season.

Aidan Ware and Mark Gleeson replied with tries for the home side and John Marnell converted both.
Kilfeacle won the North Munster Webb Cup Final with a 19-13 win over Shannon at Thomond Park.
Mark Burke gave Kilfeacle an early lead with a penalty and a drop goal.
Ronan O’Doherty opened Shannon’s account with a penalty and a try by Tom O’Neill gave Shannon an 8-6 half time lead.
A try from Ger Broderick extended Shannon’s advantage to 13-6.
Burke kept Kilfeacle in the game with his second penalty and tries from Charlie Walsh and Luke Ashmore saw Kilfeacle finish the stronger and run out winners.
It was hard luck on Mallow’s Second XV who lost two semi finals in five days. On Wednesday last Mitchelstown defeated them 20-14 in the Kelly Cup. Chris O’Donovan and Patrick McGee scored tries for Mitchelstown and Pat Molloy kicked two penalties and two conversions.
In the South Junior 2 Cup semi final a try from Dan Lucey and a conversion and two penalties from Dave Breen had Mallow leading Bandon 13-12 in injury time when Ryan Hayes scored a try for Bandon to give them their place in the final on a 17-13 scoreline.
Cian Buttimer and Adam Casey were Bandon’s other try scorers and Andrew Willis kicked a conversion.
