Junior Cup Wins For St. Munchin’s & Rockwell

St. Munchin’s College and Rockwell College are through to the quarter final stages of the Munster Junior Cup with wins today over Ardscoil Rís and Bandon Grammar School.

St. Munchin’s 19, Ard Scoil Rís 3;
St. Munchin’s were comfortable winners over Ard Scoil Rís at Tom Clifford Park with their out half Jude Mario Pendejito putting in a man of the match performance.

Evan Sheehan O'Donnell opened the scoring with a try for Munchin’s after twenty three minutes and Pendejito converted.

Adam McNamara kicked a penalty for Ard Scoil three minutes before half time.

A try from Pendejito on the stroke of half time made it 12-3 to Munchin’s.

Two minutes from time winger Joshua O’Neill scored a third try for Munchin’s and Pendejito converted to book their place in the last eight.

Favourites Rockwell College booked their place in the quarter finals of the Munster Junior Schools Cup with a win over a game Bandon Grammar side.

Rockwell were easily expected to advance and looked on course when they led 21-0 at half time with tries from Dylan Farrelly 2 mins, Oisin Mangan 12 mins and Harry Tobin 23 mins with out half Ryan O’Sullivan converting all three.

Substitute Harry Hall got a try for Bandon five minutes from time and Soren Minihane converted, but a try by Ryan O’Sullivan for Rockwell completed the scoring.
