Junior Inter Provincial Series Begins

Cobh Pirates who are celebrating their 125th Anniversary will host the opening game in the Junior Inter Provincial series when Munster will play defending champions Leinster at the Paddocks this coming Saturday at 2.30pm.
Both sides will not be at full strength due to important club games in both Provinces.
Munster will field four players from last year’s squad against the defending champions.
They are Eoghan O’Dwyer (Thurles) and Warren Kelly (St. Senan’s) on the wings. Mike Cronin (Castleisland) will again be in the hooker berth and Ian Fitzgerald (St. Senan’s) will pack down at number eight in the scrum.
Newcastle West who ran Clonmel close for the Junior league title have three players on the starting XV and Cobh Pirates, Kilfeacle and St. Senan’s have two each.
The side will be skippered by St. Mary’s second row Ruairi O’Donnell.
