There is no change at the top of the First Division of the Munster Junior League as both contenders for the title Cashel and Richmond both picked up maximum points with away victories.

Leaders Cashel traveled to Skibbereen and were very impressive coming away with a 47-10 victory. Alan Jennings was Skibbereen’s try scorer and David Shannon kicked a conversion and penalty.
Defending champions Richmond are three points behind Cashel. They maintained their challenge with a 34-7 win over St. Senan’s. Jeff McNamara scored two tries for Richmond and also kicked three conversions and a penalty. Gareth O’Hanlon, Michael Kelleher and Emmett Harty were their other try scorers. Brian Collins replied with a try and conversion for the Clare side.
It now looks like the meeting of Richmond and Cashel at the Limerick venue could decide the destination of this season’s title on the 6th March.
Third placed Clanwilliam were surprisingly beaten 20-16 away to Waterpark. The Tipperary side led 16-8 at half time with a try from Kieran Merrigan and a conversion and three penalties by Richard Childs. Donal Kavanagh scored a try for the winners and John Dunbar kicked four penalties and Colin O’Shea one.
Three penalties from Cian McGovern earned Crosshaven a 9-5 home win over Kilfeacle. Josh Featherstone replied with a try for the Tipperary side who trailed 6-5 at the interval
Old Christians moved into fifth place after their 18-8 home win over Cobh Pirates. Brian Rall and Tom Maher scored tries for the home side and Aidan Tobin added a conversion and two penalties. The Pirates replied with a try from Tadgh Hawes and a penalty by Mark Chandler.
Clonmel were brought back to earth after their win over Cobh last week when they lost at Tralee 15-3. Michael Deane, Garret Walsh and Joe Costello were try scorers for the winners and Conor Cooney replied with a penalty for Clonmel.
Thurles eased their relegation worries with a 29-3 home win over bottom side Ballincollig. Aidan Dwyer, Ollie Small, Barry Dwyer and John Lillis scored tries for the Tipperary side and Aidan Dwyer kicked a penalty and three conversions. Keith Stafford replied with a try for Ballincollig.

Galbally have moved back to the top of the Second Division after their 24-3 home win over Bandon. Tom Davern gave Galbally a 5-0 interval lead with a try. Danny Hayes and Liam Casey added second half tries for the winners and they were also awarded a penalty try. Darren Guerin kicked two conversions and Cathal Crowley replied with a penalty for Bandon.
Leaders Newcastle West were defeated 19-13 away to Castleisland. Denis Leane scored a try for the Kerry side and Mark Connolly converted and added four penalties. Gerry Martin scored a try for the visitors and Tom Kelleher kicked a conversion and two penalties.
Second placed St. Mary’s were surprisingly beaten 30-15 at home by Youghal. Ian Broderick, Stephen Kelly, Thomas Curran and Jonathon Ormond were try scorers for Youghal and Keith McCarthy kicked two penalties and two conversions. Garret Fitzgerald, Darren Clancy and Matt Hickey were try scorers for the home side.
Kanturk are two points behind the leaders after their 20-0 away win over Kinsale. Peter Earley and Malcolm O’Leary were try scorers for Kanturk and Darragh Meade kicked two conversions and two penalties.
Mallow were very hard pressed to defeat Charleville 12-6 to keep their faint hopes of promotion alive. Leonard Browne scored two tries for Mallow and Brian Morris kicked a conversion. Frankie Holly replied with two penalties for the home side.
Newport eased their relegation worries with a 13-9 home win over Ennis. Brian Collins and Tom Ryan scored tries for the Tipperary side and Collins kicked a penalty. Bryan Murphy replied with three penalties for Ennis.

Two games were called off due to water logged pitches they were the Killarney v Muskerry clash in the Second Division and the meeting of Corca Dhuibhne and Scariff in Division Three.

Presentation have opened up a nine point gap in the Third Division after their 43-18 home win over Dungarvan. James Ryan and Mark Phair scored two tries each for the Limerick side and Brendan Coleman and John Higgins also crossed the white wash. Ollie Delaney kicked a drop goal and Phair added two conversions and two penalties. Joey Lawlor, Stephen Moroney and Eoin Cunningham replied with tries for Dungarvan and Joey Doherty kicked a penalty.
Fermoy lost valuable ground when they drew 11-11 away to Abbeyfeale. Andrew Scannell scored a try for the West Limerick side and David Collins kicked two penalties. Courtney Canning replied with a try for Fermoy and Shane O’Riordan kicked two penalties.
Waterford City kept their promotion challenge alive with a 29-13 home win over Carrick-on-Suir. Damian Kennedy scored two tries for the winners and Jason Power and John Doran got one each. Aaron Foskin converted three of the tries and also added a penalty. Ross Clery replied with a try for Carrick’ and Mickey Cronin kicked a conversion and penalty.
Douglas defeated Bantry Bay 48-10. Denis O’Driscoll and Dave Callaghan scored two tries each for the winners. Alan Walsh, Niall O’Connell and Michael Meehan also scored tries. Douglas were also awarded a penalty try and Eoin Philpott kicked four conversions.
Killorglin got back to winning ways with a 27-3 away win over Shandon. Michael Foley, Ronan Curtayne and Derek Twiss were try scorers for the Kerry side and Luke O’Shea kicked three conversions and two penalties.

Cork Constitution defeated Midleton 21-10 in the Munster Seconds League South with tries from Billy Newman and Conor Desmond. Peter O’Sullivan kicked three penalties and a conversion. Luke McKeown replied with two tries for the home side.
U.C.C. overcame Sunday’s Well 34-12 at the Mardyke. Joe Sheahan and Ian O’Regan scored tries for the ‘Well and Colin Corkery added a conversion.

Carrigaline finished top of their section of the Junior Two League South with a 46-8 home win over Kinsale. Darren Twomey and Roy Murphy scored two tries each for the winners and Stuart Donaldson, Ray O’Donoghue, Noel Kelleher and Aodhan Bohane all scored tries. Donnacha Kiely kicked three conversions.
