With some back log of fixtures played over the festive period, defending champions Bandon kept their title aspirations alive with a 36-11 home win over Galbally.
The winners ran in six tries with Kieran Phelan scoring two and Bronson Waaka, Mike Murphy, John Leahy and Matthew Crowley scoring one each. Kerry Desmond added three conversions.
Two penalties from Liam Casey gave Galbally a 6-0 half time lead and Gordon Peters scored a try after the break.
In Division Two Fethard continued their recent good run with a 35-17 home win over Youghal to move up to fifth place. Mark Ronan, Chris large, Gary Kavanagh and Dale Murphy scored tries for Fethard and Josef O’Connor kicked three penalties and three conversions.
Mitchelstown kept their promotion hopes alive from Division Three with a 17-7 away win over bottom side Dunmanway. Pat Norris, Pa Molloy and Chris O’Donoghue scored tries for Mitchelstown. Michael Kearney replied with a try for Dunmanway which Darragh McCarthy converted.
Ennis moved ahead of Bantry Bay in the play-off places after they defeated the west Cork side20-11. Enda Galvin and Ronan O’Halloran scored tries for Ennis and Bryan Murphy kicked two penalties and two conversions. Ronan O’Mahony was Bantry’s try scorer and Jason Wycherley kicked two penalties.
