Kilfeacle have reached the final of the All Ireland Junior Cup for the first time

Kilfeacle are the new League leaders in Division 1 of the Munster Junior League; Old Christians have taken over top spot in Division 2 and Ennis have gone back on top in Division 3.

Kilfeacle defeated bottom side St. Senan’s 34-12 at Morrissey Park scoring six tries in the process. Kevin Kinnane and jack McLoughlin got two tries each and Wallace Burke and Kevin Doyle got one each. Willie Staunton kicked two conversions. Aidan McMahon and Declan Rowe replied with tries for Senan’s and Rowe also added a conversion.

Clonakilty came very close to causing a major upset before losing at home to Newcastle West 21-20.

Sean Ivess and Brian O’Sullivan were Newcastle West’s try scorers and Sean Herlihy kicked three penalties and a conversion/ Peter Shallow and Olan Deane scored tries for Clonakilty and Eoghan Deasy converted both and also added two penalties.

Thomond moved up to third place after their 26-11 home win against Clanwilliam. Ger Finucane scored two tries for the winners and warren Kelly and Ritchie Ryan got one apiece. Adam Guerin kicked three conversions. Jack Comerford was Clanwilliam’s try scorer and Niall Leahy kicked two penalties.

Following last week’s away defeat at Newcastle West, Mallow lost again at home to Crosshaven 21-15. Sean Glynn and Conor O’Donovan scored tries for Mallow, Dave Breen kicked a penalty and Jimmy Glynn added a conversion. Killian O’Keeffe and Ian Smith replied with tries for Crosshaven and Cian McGovern kicked three penalties and a conversion.

Richmond defeated Abbeyfeale 18-14 with Eoin Hanley and Kevin McCarthy scoring tries for the winners and Sean Considine kicked two penalties and a conversion. Abbeyfeale were awarded two penalty trys.

Bandon got back to winning ways with a 26-21 home win over Waterpark. Kerry Desmond and Ciaran Roberts scored tries for Bandon and Ben Ridgeway converted both and added four tries. Geoff Deegan and Alex Molloy scored tries for Waterpark which Deegan also converted as well as a penalty try.

Two penalties from Matthew Bushe earned Skibbereen a share of the spoils at Galbally after their 6-6 draw. John Kearns replied with two penalties for the home side.

Old Christians are now the only undefeated side in Division 2 following Fermoy’s 28-22 home win over leaders Dungarvan.

Ian Pratt, Dylan Foley and Andy Linehan scored tries for Fermoy and Eddie O’Connell kicked three penalties and two conversions. Mike Daly, Daniel Slevin and Maurice Daly scored tries for Dungarvan and David Hickey converted two and added one penalty.

Old Christians travelled to Grove Island and defeated St. Mary’s 30-19. Jimmy Ahern, Craig O’Connell and Tim Hegarty scored tries for the Rathcooney side. John Marnell converted all three tries and kicked three penalties. Daniel Hickey was the Saints try scorer and Jazz Pendejito converted and added four penalties.

In a thrilling game in Kanturk the home side bounced back from last week’s defeat at Dungarvan with a narrow 15-14 home win over Kinsale thanks to a last minute try by Sean Cremin in the corner. Matt Colee also scored a try for Kanturk which Paul O’Keeffe converted. Conor Cremin kicked a penalty. Shane O’Connell and Jason O’Sullivan were Kinsale’s try scorers and O’Connell converted both.

Muskerry maintained their challenge with an 18-3 home win over Charleville. Robert Cahill and Jesse Smith exchanged penalties in the opening half. Tries from Shane O’Riordan and Cahill and a conversion and penalty by Cahill saw the home side take the spoils.

Thurles scored seven tries in their 51-7 home win over Tralee. Ciaran Ryan (2), Eoghan O’Dwyer, Jack Kavanagh, Danny Lee, Paddy McGrath and Conor O’Hagan were their try scorers. Jack Flanagan kicked five conversions and two penalties. Ben O’Neill replied with a try and conversion for Tralee.

Cobh Pirates picked up their first points of the campaign when they travelled to Tanner Park and played a 10-10 draw against Ballincollig. Matthew Soans and Eamon Ronan scored tries for Cobh and Darragh O’Shea replied with a try for Ballincollig which Billy Newman converted and he also added a penalty.

Castleisland also picked up their first points after a 13-13 home draw with Fethard. Brian Leonard scored a try for Castleisland and Joe Sheehy converted and added two penalties. Josef O’Connor converted Thomas Murphy’s try for Fethard and kicked two penalties.

Ennis regained top spot in Division 3 after their 51-3 home win against Dunmanway. David Flynn scored three tries for the Clare side, Cian Guilfoyle and Mikey Lyons got two each and Morgan Garry got one. Sean Hayes kicked four conversions and a penalty.

Waterford City maintained their promotion bid with a 14-5 away win in the Kerry Gaeltacht against Chorca Dhuibhne. Andrew Condron and Killian Power scored tries for Waterford and Aaron Foskin converted both. Brian Devine scored a try for the home side.

Mitchelstown edged out Killarney 15-12 at the Kerry venue. John Evans and Davy Sheehan were Mitchelstown’s try scorers and Pa Magee added a conversion and a penalty. David Howard scored two tries for Killarney and Paudie Sheahan converted one.

Scariff had 28-3 bonus point away win over Douglas-Carrigaline. Jason Monaghan, Shane Corry, Evan McNamara and Martin Glynn were try scorers for Scariff and Monaghan kicked two penalties and a conversion. Padraig McSweeney kicked a penalty for the home side.

Youghal gave Bantry bay a walk over.
