Kerry National Schools Tag Rugby Extravaganza
13th May 2009 By Munster Rugby
Tralee RFC recently welcomed schools from all corners of the Kingdom for the Kerry National Schools Tag Rugby Extravaganza.
Twenty teams from Killarney, Listowel, Ballybunnion, Castleisland, Dingle and Tralee took part in what was a fun and enjoyable day for all.
The 300 participating pupils provided ample proof of the rugby talent that exists in the Schools in Kerry. On a bright and sunny day that was ideally suited to running rugby, all of the teams on show could be justifiably proud of their performance.
The overall winners on the day were Holy Family from Tralee. The Fair Play Award was presented to Annascaul from Dingle, while Spa of Tralee picked up the Best Skills Award.
Special thanks must go to Tralee RFC for the use of their facilities and to their Club members who helped to referee and generally made the day run smoothly. Finally we would like to thank all of the Schools and their Principals’ for continuing to support Munster Rugby.
