Killarney RFC Host Historic Family Fun Day
16th May 2019 By The Editor
Killarney RFC hosted a Family Fun Day for all members at their club grounds last weekend in celebration of the 2018/19 season.
Members from all sections of Killarney RFC came together to recognise and reward players of all ages who made a significant contribution to their respective teams during the season.
The award winners ranged from age 6 to age 49 and came from as far away as Rathmore and Kenmare.
The event included exhibitions from the minis boys and girls’ squads on the main pitch, which followed the first-ever 7s game played at the club, featuring Killarney U18s.
The highlight of the day would have been the high-scoring match between Captain’s XV and President’s XV had it not have been followed by the club’s first-ever ladies rugby match – A 6-a-side tag game run with Munster Women’s Fiona Reidy to promote Killarney’s upcoming ladies summer programme.
