Last Week Of Summer Camp Fun
21st August 2017 By The Editor
This week sees the conclusion of the 2017 Bank of Ireland Munster Rugby Summer Camps in Newcastle West, Old Crescent and Skibbereen.
After last week’s brilliant five days in Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa, Nenagh and Kanturk, our team of coaches are gearing up for what is sure to be yet another fun-filled, enjoyable week of skills, games, and the best in coaching before the boys and girls return to school.
Munster stars Dave Kilcoyne and Sam Arnold are scheduled to take time out of their busy pre season training schedule to visit the Newcastle West camp, John Ryan and Keith Earls will head to Old Crescent, while West Cork club Kanturk will get a visit from Kevin O’Byrne and Rory Scannell. There’s sure to be an enormous wealth of knowledge that our aspiring #FutureReds can gain an insight on in the Q&A sessions.
Boys and girls have enjoyed the Camps throughout the province over the past 8 weeks in what has been a great summer.
This week the current crop of participants will get the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as teamwork, respect and integrity, and also become more aware of the importance of physical fitness. All this while learning to develop the basic rugby skills of passing, tackling (in a controlled environment), evasion and kicking.
We’ll be checking in with the three camps later on in the week to see how they’re progressing, but for now we hope they all enjoy their time with us, becoming the next group of #FutureReds.
