Launch Of The Munster Colleges Sevens Tournament

Munster’s provincial qualifying round for the Irish Colleges Sevens will take place in the Limerick Institute of Technology on Wednesday, 6th October 2010.

The one day Sevens tournament will be coordinated by Limerick IT Rugby Officer, Brian Farrell and Munster Rugby’s Community Rugby Officer, Ed Daly. The event will comprise of a senior men's, a senior women's and a men's freshers competition.

Following the Rugby Sevens recent acceptance as an Olympic sport for Rio de Janeiro 2016 the game is expected to continue to thrive within the province. Sevens Rugby is also a gateway for players wishing to take park in the full fifteen a-side game.

It is envisaged that the players will take part from all colleges across Munster and all support is welcome.
