Dónal Clancy, Managing Director laya healthcare commented at the launch in Limerick, “We are delighted and proud to once again be title sponsor of the Munster Rugby U17 Schools Blitz. It is a fantastic event, with more than 400 students from all over Munster due to participate. We are even more excited this year as the event has grown with the addition of a touch rugby tournament which opens the event up to mixed teams and so reaches a wider number of participants.”

In addition to the 10's competition this year, the IRFU Leisure Rugby Department have come on board to run a 'Touch Rugby' event with over 15 teams expected to take part in this competition.

This event will cater for boys and girls and offers non rugby players an opportunity to experience this hugely fun and explosive game of rugby.

Commenting on the news IRFU Leisure Manager, Olly Hodges said, "We are delighted to be running a touch rugby element to the Munster Rugby 10's blitz in Crescent College Comprehensive in April. Touch is a minimum contact form of rugby, is globally one of the most popular variants of the sport at all levels and ages, and in Ireland will be expanding into schools in each of the four provinces."
