Leprechaun Coaching Course For LIT Students

Over the past number of years Munster Rugby has supported the development of rugby at Limerick Institute of Technology and recently ran a Leprechaun Coaching Course for college students.

The students spent the day growing their knowledge of the game through practical and theory modules which focused on the primary core skills and principles of rugby.

Students also learnt the importance of physical literacy for the young player with the emphasis on bringing a fun element to the sport.

Munster Rugby will continue to facilitate LIT students as part of their twenty hour coaching placement as they endeavour to work closely in Thomond RFC with players from clubs and schools in the Northside of Limerick city taking part.

A special thanks to course leader Dermot Maleney for his assistance in running the course.
