Limerick School Pupils meet Barbarians
9th June 2010 By Munster Rugby
Munster Rugby recently held a community morning at Garryowen FC’s new all weather pitch with special guests, the Barbarians, on hand to sign autographs.
The event was coordinated by Munster Rugby’s Community Officers Ed Daly, George Guilfoyle and Ross Callaghan and were assisted by Coach Development Officer Colm McMahon.
Two schools from the Limerick regeneration area Scoil Iosagain and St. Munchins Boys participated in the Tag Rugby Blitz along with pupils from Gaelscoil Raheen.
The school pupils were delighted with the opportunity to interact with some of the Barbarian rugby team who were more than happy to pose for photographs and answer any questions from the young rugby enthusiasts.
Munster Rugby would like to take this opportunity to thank the Barbarian players for their help on the day as well as Garryowen FC for the use of their facilities.
