LIT To Host RugbyLAD Sevens.

The inaugural RugbyLAD Sevens will take place over the June Bank Holiday weekend this year at LIT Sports grounds.

Over twenty teams from across the country will assemble for a weekend packed full of explosive sevens action, a huge array of activities and some top name acts taking the stage for a special open air concert.

Irish superstars Hermitage Green will headline the weekend with performances from acts such as Dublin cover band Smash Hits. The Red Bull Wings along with the SPIN Southwest SPINIS will also be on hand for what promises to be a weekend that will re-invent the Sevens circuit in Ireland.

RugbyLAD founder and tournament organiser Jason Hennessy said "The nationwide success of RugbyLAD.com coupled with the growing popularity of sevens and fame associated with Limerick and it's rugby made the idea a no brainer!"

"We plan on following in the footsteps of the success of Kinsale Sevens and Pig N Porter in recent years and bring a long-awaited weekend rugby and music festival to the home of rugby"

The tournament is expected to draw spectators nationwide and across the water with groups coming from as far as Sweden!

The RugbyLAD Sevens 2014 takes place at Limerick Institute of Technology from May 31st – June 1st at Limerick Institute of Technology Sports Grounds. Limited places are still available for team registration on www.rugbylad7s.com
