Marymount Hospice were recently presented with a cheque for the proceeds of this year’s Cork Charity Cup, which saw Cork Constitution retain their title and add their name to the trophy for the 43rd time with victory over Highfield.

A total of €5,500 was raised from the match which took place at Woodleigh Park earlier this year with Cork Con running out eventual 17-11 winners.

Last season’s President, Charlie Buckley, Munster player James Cronin and Munster Rugby’s Head of Commercial and Marketing, Doug Howlett, were all on hand to present the cheque to representatives from the hospice, which offers specialist palliative care for Cork.
