Michael Lynagh Visits St Cormac’s School.

Former Australian international Michael Lynagh recently paid a visit to St Cormac’s School(Scoil Chormaic)Cashel.

The visit was to help raise the awareness of upcoming fundraising activities the school are running. Monies raised will contribute towards the school’s plans to equip itself with updated IT facilities which will make the learning experience more practical for the many students who travel far and wide for special needs education.

Local rugby clubs Cashel RFC, Kilfeacle RFC, Clanwilliam FC, Clonmel RFC and Thurles RFC are also lending their weight to the project which will culminate in a series of rugby events scheduled to take place in June 2011.

With the welcomed support of Michael Lynagh, this will be a regional effort as many of the clubs have young players attending the school.

It is hoped more rugby clubs and various sporting organisations will get involved with the fundraising activities as the school has students from all over the province.

St. Cormac’s will announce detailed planned events in the New Year.
