Midleton Retain J3 Cup

Midleton retained the Junior 3 Cup last Sunday by claiming a 13-6 victory over a combined Dunmanway/Bantry Bay side at Bandon RFC.
The East Cork side scored the only tries of the match which came from Philip Smyth and Morgan Colbert with Aaron Spillane adding a penalty kick to their scoreline.
Dunmanway/Bantry Bay replied with two well struck penalties from their impressive full-back Paudie O’Donovan.
The final was played in excellent conditions in what was a tough encounter with the cup going back to Towns Park for the second year in a row.
