Mini Rugby Festivals A Huge Success
11th April 2016 By Munster Rugby
Munster Rugby recently held three Mini Rugby Festivals in Tipperary and Limerick represented by teams from the province and throughout Ireland.
First up was Garryowen FC, where an Under 11 blitz took place last weekend which saw approximately 560 players taking part from 24 clubs.
On Saturday, 24 clubs represented by over 480 players took part in the Tipperary Mini Rugby Festival held in Rockwell College, Cashel.
UL Bohemian RFC hosted boys at Under 10 age grade and six Under 12 girls teams yesterday. Approximately 520 players were in attendance representing 28 rugby clubs.
Also present were Munster players Donnacha Ryan, Mario Sagario and Mark Chisholm who paid a visit to meet the young rugby enthusiasts.
The festivals gave the competing teams the opportunity to play rugby, make friends and form connections with other clubs they not have previously played.

Some highly skilled, action packed fun rugby was on display throughout the three days which is a credit to the work put in by the coaches and all participating players.
Munster Rugby would like to thank the Mini Rugby Committee for overseeing proceedings throughout the three highly successful days.
