Minister Zappone Visits Training Session In Thomond
27th September 2016 By Munster Rugby

The Munster Rugby Development Department recently hosted a training session at Thomond RFC as part of a visit by Ireland’s Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Katherine Zappone.
50 children from Limerick schools Corpus Christi and Gaelscoil Sairseal took part in the activities which were held in Fitzgerald Park, home of Thomond RFC.
Munster Rugby staff members Ed Daly, Euan Gee and Kenneth McNamara looked after the session with the day proving a great success.
Minister Zappone was able to check out the club's facilities and meet club members as well as the young players from the schools.
A big thanks goes to both schools for helping to arrange the attendance of their pupils after school hours, Thomond RFC for hosting the event, and Morgan Moloney of the Friendly Store supermarket for kindly providing free refreshments for the kids.
