Mixed Results For Munster Interpros

The four Munster Interprovincal sides kicked off their campaigns this weekend away to Leinster and Ulster.
First up were the Munster U20s who travelled to Belfast yesterday to take on reigning champions Ulster at Queens University.
Tries from Dave O’Mahony and John Foley led to Munster’s 18-17 win putting them in a good position as they prepare to take on Leinster next Friday at the Mardyke, Cork (ko 7.30pm).
Munster’s U19s also claimed a 17-13 away win over Ulster today in their Interpro opener. Next Saturday they host Leinster at CIT, Cork (ko 4pm) as they bid for two in a row.
The Munster U18 Clubs and Munster U18 Schools were narrowly defeated by Leinster today in Dublin.
Munster U18 Clubs suffered a 29-21 loss to their hosts in Donnybrook. The side will face Connacht next Saturday at CIT (ko 2.m) in their second Interpro fixture.
Donnybrook also hosted the Munster U18 Schools this afternoon who suffered a 25-16 defeat to Leinster. Their final fixture of the series will take place on Saturday, 19th September at CBC, Cork when they take on Ulster at 1pm. Scores included a try from Charlie Carmody converted by James Taylor who also added a penalty with Peter Sylvester kicking 2 penalties.
