Munchin’s Reach School Senior Cup Semi Final

St. Munchin’s booked a semi final tie against the winners of next week’s replay between Glenstal Abbey and P.B.C. after a victory over Ard Scoil Ris at Clifford Park in the Avonmore SuperMilk Munster Schools Senior Cup.

In a lack lustre opening half wing forward Matthew McSweeney scored a try for Munchin’s after ten minutes to give them a 5-0 interval lead.
Gavin Ryan one of the three Ryan triplets on the team extended Munchin’s advantage with a try which Shane Airey converted after the break.
Ard Scoil rallied but two penalties from Robbie Burke was not enough to keep them in the competition.
