Munster A Schools Pipped In Final Minutes

Munster were defeated by Leinster 8-0 with an injury time try and penalty in their Schools A Inter Provincial tie at Midleton.

This was a very disappointing defeat for Munster following their narrow loss to Connacht last week, but this was a much improved performance.

Leinster’s out half Alex O’Driscoll was off target with two penalty efforts on 20 and 30 minutes, while his opposite number Ned Hodson was also off target with two efforts in first half injury time.

Leinster full back Sam Moore looked like he would open the scoring with a try mid way through the second half but play was called back for an off side.

Munster’s back row of skipper William O’Morchoe, Sam Hunter and Peter Deane in an amount of tackles and their work was undone in the first minute of injury time.

Leinster recycled quick ball from a ruck on the Munster Twenty Two and winger Jamie bucket touched down in the corner for a try. In the eighth minute of injury time O’Driscoll made sure of victory with a penalty.
