The Munster Clubs Age-Grade Cups launch took place in Thomond Park last week ahead of the the beginning of the knockout stages of the competitions.
The defending champions from last season’s U14, U16 and U18 competitions joined us on the night as well as Munster Branch President Brendan Foley, Munster Youths Committee Chairpersons Mike McInerney and Pakie Durkn, Grainne O’Connell Munster Women’s Committee Chairperson and Miriam Lawlee Munster Women’s Committee Youths Representative.
The Age-Grade Cup Competitions began earlier this month in both the boys and girls competitions.

The quarter-final stages of the Munster Clubs Boys U18.5 cup got underway last weekend with some tightly contested score lines
Clonakilty travelled to Coonagh where they took on Shannon. The West Cork outfit secured the win with the narrowest of margins with a score of 20-21.
Ennis were awarded the win over Garryowen, as the sides finished level at the final whistle, due to the first try scored rule.
And finally Bandon took on Highfield defeating the city based team 28-7.
There is still one quarter final outstanding as Kinsale take on Old Christians this Saturday. The winner will go on to meet Clonakilty in the first of the semi-finals on the 9th of March.
Ennis will take on Bandon in the other semi-final.
There were just two games played last weekend in the Munster Clubs Boys U16 Cup quarter-finals.
Kinsale overcame Kanturk in Snugmore with a scoreline of 36-12 while Waterpark beat Newcastle West 40-15 to secure their semi-final spot.
The outstanding games between Clonakilty and Cobh Pirates and Old Christians and Cashel will play out this weekend.
The Munster Clubs Boys U14 Cup also kicks off this weekend with Clonakilty meeting Thurles on Saturday in The Vale.
Sunday sees Old Crescent making the trip to Kilballyowen Park to take on Bruff.
Tralee are in Dooradoyle to play Garryowen and St. Senans will take on Waterford City-Tramore.

The Munster Clubs Girls U18.5 Cup kicked off earlier this month with games taking place across the province.
Kilrush got the competition going as Carrick on Suir made the trip to West Clare. Just three points separated the sides at the final whistle with the score line finishing 27-24 in favour of the home side.
Dolphin made the trip to Garryowen to take on amalgamated side Bruff-Garryowen-Ul Bohs. The away side recorded a strong win with a score of 15-36.
Ballina-Killaloe met West Cork side Dunmanway-Bantry Bay in Clairsford with the home side securing the win 27-12.
Next up for the sides is Mallow-Kanturk travelling to Virgin Media Park to meet Dolphin, Ennis welcome had Killarney-Listowel-Iveragh Eagles. Kilrush host Clonakilty, Ballina-Killaloe take on Carrick on Suir, Dunmanyway-Bantry Bay meet fellow Cork side Ballincolli while Shannon hosts Bruff-Garryowen-Ul Bohs.
The first round action in the Munster Clubs Girls U16 Cup got underway last weekend as six out of seven fixtures were played.
Shannon met Midleton-Youghal in Coonagh and came away with a 27-12 triumph.
In Ennis the home side took the spoils as they overcame Cork side Ballincollig 28-17.
Cobh-Kinsale saw off Fethard-Kanturk with a scoreline of 43-29 in Snugmore.
The game between Ballina-Killaloe and Cork City side Dolphin finished all square with a score of 12-12.
While Bruff conquered Waterpark 24-5 in Kilballyowen Park.
On Sunday Killarney/Iveragh/Killorglin/Listowel met Dunmanway -Bantry Bay in Cahrciveen with the West Cork side coming on top with a score of 5-14.
In the next round Bruff will meet Clonakilty, Ballina-Killaloe will take on Richmond-Scarriff, Dunmanyway-Bantry Bay welcome Shannon to Skibbereen while Ennis will make the trip to Cobh to play Cobh-Kinsale.
The Munster Clubs Girls U14 Cup also got underway last weekend with four games being played across the province.
Ballincollig welcomed Limerick outfit Garryowen-Richmond to Tanner Park. The home side ran away with the win with a scoreline of 42-14.
Cobh Pirates met fellow Cork side Dunmanway-Bantry Bay in another exciting tie with the home side securing the win 45-24.
Fethard and District travelled to Malow to record an away win by the tightest of margins with the scoreline standing at 12-20.
The final game of the weekend was played out on Sunday as Shannon put up 40 points against Castleisland-Iveragh-Killarney-Killorglin which ended 7-40.
Next week see’s Ballincollig meet Dunmanyway-Bantry Bay in Tanner Park, Cobh Pirates take on Clonailty, Garryowen-Richmond clash with Ennis, Mallow travel to Coonagh to take on Shannon and Kinsale-Muskerry go head to head with Castleisland-Iveragh-Killarney-Killorglin.
