Munster And Irish Players Visit Abbeyfeale

Irish international Siobhán Fleming and her Munster and Tralee team-mate Ríona Kennedy paid a surprise visit to Abbeyfeale RFC last Monday night to train with the underage girls in the club.

There was much excitement when the girls arrived and the Under-13’s were the first to learn from Siobhán, two-time Munster Women's Player of the Year, and Tralee captain Ríona what it takes to represent your province and country.

Then both the Under-15’s and the Under-18’s gained some valuable on-pitch advice from the girls with both Siobhán and Ríona taking part in their sessions and imparting their knowledge.

To finish the evening it was back to the clubhouse for a welcome cup of tea where more questions, selfies and pictures followed!

If anyone is interested in playing rugby with Abbeyfeale RFC you can contact John Moloney or Mary Teahan on abbeyfealeladiesrfc@gmail.com
