The Munster Association of Referees in conjunction with the IRFU will host a Recruitment Week this coming September for those interested in becoming a match official.

The recruitment week will run from Saturday 14 September to Sunday 22 September and will offer individuals the opportunity to attend free new member courses across the province.

Delivered by the IRFU Referee Development Manager for the Munster, Chris Harrington, the week will kick-off with a day course in the Hibernian Hotel, Mallow on Saturday 14 September from 9.30am-3pm.

This will be followed by a series of mid-week evening courses beginning at 6.30pm and running until 9pm, taking place over four evenings in Limerick Institute of Technology (Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 September) and Cork Institute of Technology (Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 September).

The evening courses are a welcome addition to the Munster Association of Referee’s recruitment process for the 2019/20 season with the day course split across two evenings to accommodate participants.

The recruitment week will conclude with a second day course in the Charleville Park Hotel on Sunday 22 September from 9.30am-3pm.

All courses are free to attend and delivered in an indoor setting with no requirement to bring sports gear – refreshments will be provided.
