Munster Club & Volunteer Winners 2016
3rd May 2016 By Munster Rugby
The Munster Rugby Provincial Club and Volunteer Awards 2016, in conjunction with the IRFU, took place last Friday evening following Munster’s Guinness PRO12 win over Edinburgh at Irish Independent Park.
The purpose of the rewards were to recognise the efforts of volunteers and clubs who contribute to the smooth running of grassroots rugby throughout the province.
Munster Rugby contacted all Munster clubs last March to nominate a volunteer who they deemed to go above and beyond the call of duty for the love of the game and their club.
Equally, the Club Awards were open to all affiliated clubs who have shown initiative, commitment and innovation in their respective categories.
Speaking at the ceremony Munster Rugby President Bertie Smith said “the volunteer is the lifeblood of the club game. Tonight we have presented awards to five people who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make their club better places and I congratulate each and every one for their fine achievement.”
